How to Play Live Baccarat 

Live baccarat plays just like a game of baccarat in a real-life casino. The aim of the game is to bet on whether you think the player or the banker will get closest to 9. Or you can bet on the hand being a tie instead. It works like this:

• You place your bet on one of three options:
  • The Banker to win
  • The Player to win
  • A Tie
• Bets are placed before the cards are dealt.
• The aim is to predict which will hold the highest score and get closest to 9. Or whether you think it will end in a tie.
• Once you’ve placed your bet, two cards are dealt to both the player and the banker.
• Depending on which cards are in each hand, the score for each is calculated.
  • Tens and face cards all are worth zero points
  • All other cards are worth their face value
  • The ace is worth one point.
• In baccarat, the highest score is 9. If any hand goes over this score, the first digit of the hand is dropped. So if a hand has a total score of 12, the “1” is dropped, leaving a final score of 2.

Sometimes a third card is drawn for either the player or the banker.

The player:

• If the player has 8 or 9, no third card is drawn for the player.
• If the player has 0 to 5, the player gets a third card
• If the banker stands at 8 or 9, the player doesn’t get a third card.

The banker:

• If the player stands on their hand, the banker can have another third card if they stand between 0 to 5.
• If the player draws, the outcome of the card will determine whether the banker can draw or not.   
  • If the player gets a 9, 10, face card or ace as the third card, the banker draws if they are between 0 to 3 and stands if they are between 4 to 7.
  • If the player gets an 8, the banker draws when they are between 0 to 2 and stands if they are between 3 to 7.
  • If the player gets a 6 or 7, the banker draws when they are between 0 to 6 and stands if they have 7.
  • If the player gets a 4 or 5, the banker draws when they are between 0 to 5 and stands if they have 6 or 7.
  • If the player gets a 2 or 3, the banker draws when they are between 0 to 4 and stands if they have 5 to 7.
